Funny words

Andrew and I could spend hours listening to Cannon talk. The way he says things and the things he says are very humorous! For example the other day he said what sounded like: I want a drink of tar, but he was really saying I want Twinkle Star. I took us a while to figure that one out, but once we figured it out is was so OBVIOUS what he was saying. Then the other day when we were getting in the car to go to the doctor he said, "Mommy, I wanna Bee-vee-bee-vee-dee." After having him repeat this several time I concluded he was saying he wanted to watch a DVD. It is always so funny trying to decode his messages. It keeps us laughing!

Date Night

So last night I MADE my husband go out on a date with me! :) I asked my friend Torrie to watch Cannon so that Andrew and I could just have a peaceful dinner and we were on a mission to get a carpet cleaner. So he reluctantly agreed, although I know he really just wanted to come home and veg out at the computer with his new game! :P I will never understand that! Anyway, we went to Wal-mart to check out some carpet shampooers. Fun date right! Well I decided I needed to take them off the shelf and do a push test. BIG MISTAKE! One of the handles was not attached and the stupid thing fell straight down on my foot! It really hurt and I want to scream and cry! So now I have a swollen foot that is bruised. I thought I needed to go to the hospital but Andrew just LAUGHED! Men they have no compassion! After I recovered we went to our favorite restaurant Texas Roadhouse and indulged in a yummy steak! Doesn't get much better than that! So It was like 5:30 and Andrew was ready to go home! I guess he doesn't remember what a date is and how wonderful it is for me to be out of the house without dragging a kid around. So again I protested and said I am not letting you take me home yet! So we stayed out a couple more hours and were home by 7:30! Wow are we night owls or what! But the enjoyment didn't end there! NO,no no! We spent the rest of the evening cleaning carpets together! Now is that a Date or what! Oh well I am just happy to spend time with my hubby however I can!

Finally a new post!

Wow! I have not posted in a little while! I have been pretty busy. I went to Oklahoma to visit my fam during spring break. It was so nice getting to see everyone and I know they enjoyed getting Cannon time! I had so much fun hang out with my best friend Candice. I hadn't seen her in a while so it was great getting to have a couple of days to just talk and hang out like old times! I miss having my best friend close! After spending a couple days in Pryor I headed to Tulsa to spend time with my mama and sisters. We went shopping for wedding supplies for Dana and then on Saturday we had a baby shower for my step sister Stacey. So while we did a lot of traveling during that week it was still relaxing enough to enjoy the time we had with everyone. Poor Cannon missed his daddy though! He asked numerous times for his daddy, especially around bedtime because daddy takes care of bedtime usually. He definitely one that needs routine! We had several crazy nights because he wasn't able to do the usual bedtime routine. NOT FUN!!! We are both so glad to be back home and getting things back to normal!

I just have to say I have one of the most AMAZING Dads in the whole world! He fixed my CAMERA! The melted, baked camera...YEAH, HE FIXED IT!!!!! I love you Daddy! I am so glad that I don't have to have feelings of anger towards Cannon anymore when I look at my camera! :) So now I just have to remember to start using it again! I will try to upload some pictures for everyone soon! Ta-Ta for now!

The Curiosity of 2 year olds

We have all heard the saying curiosity killed the Cat, well I think there should be a saying that goes along with a two year old too! Today I was watching my friend's little girl Ella. She and Cannon were playing outside and got distracted by a wasp that was flying around. If you know me, then you know I instantly freak out by any type of flying insect, especially those that STING! Well I noticed their curiosity in the flying insect and they watched as it landed on Cannon's wagon. They ran over to inspect it and grab for it. Well, I started freaking out and yelling telling them to hurry up and get in the house! They just stand there and look at me like I was crazy! Again I yelled for them to come inside and no response besides their dazed looks. Finally, I brave the elements and try to get them inside and the wasp decides to land right on the door! So now I have to figure out how to get them inside without making the wasp fly inside as well! That's when I notice Ella walking over to the wasp with her finger out getting ready to touch the wasp! I started screaming for her to stop and scared the poor girl to death! So now I have two little kids running around in circles screaming their heads off and LAUGHING!!! They think it is all just a funny game! If they only knew the danger and pain I was saving them from!

Boys will be boys!

Wow! How do boys think of the things they do! Cannon, my sweet little 2 year old, has not been so sweet lately as much as he has been ornery! I love being able to stay home with him but sometimes I wish it was someone else here that had to clean up his messes!

Cannon is currently banned from any type or writing utensil! In the past few day we have found ink marks all over our new couch cushions as well as chalk all over the leather backing of the couch! Here is the story on the chalk!
~I will open up the back door so Cannon can come in an out of the house as he pleases on warm days. I gave him a pail full of sidewalk chalk to use OUTSIDE which he did, on the window screens, the fence, the sides of the house, and a little on the patio! Then I noticed he was a little to quiet! So I go try to find him only to hear him in the laundry room. He knows how to get out of the backyard now. So I got on to him and put him back in the backyard, then put the lock on the gate. Well in that timing I come back in the house to find chalk all over the back and sides of the couch!!!! Luckily, it is only chalk and wipes off of leather easily. BUT then I find it all over the doors in the laundry room and the wall! AHHHHH!!!!! Where in the world do these ideas come from! Why is it so much more fun to write everywhere but where they are suppose to! I don't understand!
I wish I could put pictures on here to show the damage but hey I have already told you the story behind that one!
You gotta love him! :)
