There isn't really anything new to report right now. Our life has been pretty clam and relaxing these past few weeks which is great because the month of July is CRAZY! We have something planned almost every weekend of July! I have decided that it is time I let go of my little boy for a few days. I am letting him go to his Nana's house for a few days this week. It sounds soo good but sooo hard at the same time! I know it is time to let him be away but what will I do with myself! I am use to always entertaining, monitoring, and caring for Cannon that I don't know what I will do with the time I have ALL to myself! I will have time when even Andrew won't be around! YIKES! and YEA! all at the same time!
I think I might finish painting my house. I have a few areas that are still in need and this would be the perfect time to do it! Shopping sounds good too! That is one thing I am unable to do with Cannon anymore. He does not appreciate me dragging him to stores. He literally JUMPS out of the cart and takes off down the aisle. Or if I am at the mall and try to enter another store he starts crying and saying NO MOMMY NO!!!! I want home NOW! I am not kidding! So therefore I have instated a mommy day! Me and my friend Torrie give each other one day a week to be child-free to do as we please! It is WON-DER-FUL!!! Praise the Lord for good friends and family!
So I guess what you all really want is a funny story about Cannon. The above story was probably not good enough, so let me try and chose a good one out of the many humorous things my child has done lately. Well okay maybe a couple! :)
I am not really sure where Cannon picked this up but lately when he gets mad and doesn't want to do something or doesn't want something he says "No Mommy! I never never never..." For example, he asked for chocolate milk, but then decided he wanted juice after I had already made his milk. He threw his cup down and said "No Mommy! I never never never want chocolate milk! EVER! The bad thing is Andrew and I bust out laughing every time he says it and try to do things to make him say it! HA HA! It is the cutest thing ever. I will try to get him saying it on tape so you can witness how cute it really is!
Another thing he has been doing is picking up Spanish from Dora the Explorer. The other day Andrew and I were sitting with our feet up on the ottoman and Cannon decided to climb through the tunnel. He ended up in between our legs. Now in Dora the episodes he has been watching over and over and over, talk about gates being opened and closed. So Cannon looks at Andrew and says Uh Oh Daddy! The gate is closed! Then he proceeded to say "abria!" which means open! We were shocked! He is actually learning from the show!
And finally, Sunday when we picked Cannon up from Sunday School his teacher told us that he saw this puzzle that had different tool shapes on it so he grabbed the hammer piece and the screw driver and got under the table and started working away at the table! How freakin cute is that!!! He is such a smart little boy! I am so blessed!!
