Zoo Day!

Yesterday my friend and I took our kids to the Fort Worth Zoo. It is such an amazing zoo! It was way better than the Dallas Zoo. I really miss the Tulsa Zoo. I haven't been in a while but I use to love that zoo. But the weather was wonderful! We were in the 80's yesterday! The kids had a lot of fun looking at all the animals and making the sounds that each make. Cannon suprised me by asking where the Rhino was! I was so amazed that he remembered an animal from his books! He is getting so smart! This weekend we are getting together with our sunday school class so that we can get to know each other better. We recently joined a ss class that just started so everyone is new and doesn't know each other! We are really looking forward to making new friends and getting more involved in Church! Cannon loves going to church now. Anytime he is driving around in his little car and we ask where he is going he tells us "church." :)
He is catching on to so many things too! On most nights before he goes to bed we read him a Bible story and then say a prayer. Well he knows that as soon as Daddy closes the Bible that it is time to pray, so he folds him hands ready to go! But if Andrew and I do not fold our hands as well he will not let us proceed in prayer! It is so cute! And then to listen to him say his prayer and tell Jesus he loves him just overjoys my heart! I love it! The other day we found Cannon grabbing books and pretending to read them, then close it and mumble a few words and then said AMEN! :) HAHA! I am glad to see he prays even when we are not guiding him to!

The Loves of my life!

We had a great V-day weekend! Cannon got to go to his Uncle Brenden's and Aunt Kristen's house with his Nana and Aunt Ray Ray! He enjoyed playing with his cousin Caeden and of course Aunt Ray Ray! They baked a cake, made chocolate covered strawberries, and he was a great taste tester I heard! :) So, while Cannon was off having fun with Nana and Ray Ray, Andrew and I enjoy a nice QUITE evening! It was wonderful! We had dinner at Olive Garden, because Andrew believes Italian in the only romantic food you can eat on Valentine's day. Such a nerd! It was nice to be able to eat without wrestling with a kid to stay seated and no drink spills with what awesome! :) On Saturday we got up after "sleeping in" which was only 8:00, I told Andrew I sleep in later than that everyday!! But it is sleeping in to him since he gets up at about 6:15. I had the pleasure of dragging him, willingly, all around the mall to look for dresses for Dana's wedding. I didn't have much luck on that part though, I think I have to wait another month or so before the more springy stuff gets out! But it was a lot of fun just being Andrew and I again! We were so happy to see Cannon again on Saturday night though! Our lives are a little bit boring without him around for too long! :)

Oh My Child!

As much as I love and adore my son, I also have days that I want to lock myself in my room put my headphones on and reminisce on the days before I was called MOM!

This week my child decided to put my camera in the oven. Well I had no idea it was in there until I smelt buring plastic!!! The story goes like this: I was loading some new pics to my computer and was busy messing around on the computer to notice when Cannon snatched the camera from the table. Recently I have caught him putting things in the oven, but I thought all the firm talking tos, and spankings did the trick. Well I was wrong! Later that night I was going to cook a pizza for dinner so I turned the oven on to pre-heat. Well about ten minutes later I started smelling something funny so I ran to the oven and found my camera and the USB cord melting away!!! I had just paid $200 for this camera in August for my birthday! I wanted to cry but I resorted to screaming and scaring the living day lights out of Cannon! Andrew had to make me realize it was only an object and could be replaced. So now, due to my recent loss of my camera I will be unable to post new pictures! :(

By the way, after I cooled down I immediately grabbed Cannon and hugged and kissed on him, because it is too hard to stay mad at him for too long!

Loving the Weather!

I am so glad that warm weather is in the forecast for the next several days! I hate when it is cold outside. I would move somewhere where it is warm everyday if I could, but I would have to move too far and I don't think my family would like that too much! I am watching two little girls on Tuesdays and Thursdays and I decided that since the weather was so nice and warm I would let them fill Cannon's turtle sandbox (which currently has no sand) with water! They had a blast splashing around! Cannon loves playing with them and is constantly saying I want Ella and Shelby! I hear it at least 20 times a day!

So I have reached the 10 lb mark on my weight watchers journey! It is the lowest weight I have been in a LONG time! I am so excited! I am so eager to get slim for this summer and Dana's wedding! It looks like it is paying off for now! :) I have been working out with my new friend Torrie, which is Ella and Shelby's mom. They live a couple houses down from us. We have been utilizing the fitness center at our clubhouse and enjoying the time without the kiddos!

My days have been pretty tense lately because Andrew found out they are doing a series of layoffs at work! YIKES! We are just relying on God because there is nothing else we can do. Hopefully things will start picking back up and work will come to his company so we can avoid that roadblock in our life. I have faith in God and Andrew to get us through this scary time! Keep us in your prayers!

So we all have been sick this week! Yuck! We have runny noses, sore throats, yucky coughs and all that fun stuff! It is really hard to be the mom of a busy two year old when you don't feel good! Cannon has the same stuff but he doesn't seem to slow down like Andrew and I do! Why God? Why?!?!?! :) Hopefully with all the drugs we have been taking something will get rid of it soon!

Last night Andrew and I were enjoying the fact that Cannon went to bed at 7:30! ( I guess that is where sickness hits him, he is always ready for bed and doesn't fight it when he is sick!) But we were just recalling all the funny things that Cannon does to make us laugh through out the day. Kids are such a blessing because no matter how bad you feel kids can always make you laugh. I love how in the mornings he gets down on the floor by his bedroom door and yells under the door for me. He sounds like he is dying or something is really wrong as he wales, MOOOMMY! then I go and open the door and he quickly changes from the whine to a cheerful HI MOMMY! He is so good at using his fake emotions to his advantage! :)

Do I really need this blog???

Wow! I don't really know why I am starting yet another homepage because I already have Facebook and MySpaces, but for some reason I felt compelled to do so! So here it is! I will try to use it to record some of the funny moments that fill my day while being with Cannon. He is quite the comedian these days! He can frustrate me one minute and have me cracking up the next! Hopefully you enjoy the little moments as much as I do!

On a personal note, I have began my journey in the Weight Watcher's world! I am very ready to lose these extra pounds I have carried for way too long! I am finally determined to get rid of them because 1) Dana is getting married in July and I refuse to be matron of honor in one more wedding were I am fat! (the first time around for Candice and Cassia's weddings I was 6 months pregnant, but still!!) and 2) I really want to have another baby soon and I don't want to add that weight to what I already have! So I decided to take the step and join WW. I have been doing it for about three weeks and have lost 7 lbs. I just really hope I start seeing some results soon before I get discouraged! That is what has happened in the past. I would lose a few pounds then gain them back and it would go back and forth. Plus I would always do those terrible diets that I had to eat a couple of different things constantly and would get sick of it! I know I just have to be patient and strive towards the goal and most importantly rely on God to get me through! So hopefully in a few months I will start seeing some REAL results!

Finally I am attaching a couple pictures of Cannon because I think he is just so darn cute!
