Cannon's coming home!!

Well I made it without Cannon for almost 5 days! Wow! It was pretty tough! I really, really miss him!!! I have enjoyed the relaxing and lazing around. I don't have to worry about what he is getting into, but I also don't get hugs and kisses, or Mommy, I love yous! I can't wait to have those things back. I'll take the good with the bad.

While Cannon was at his Nana's house they have been working on using the potty. Nana reports that he has been doing pretty good. There is still a lot of work to do but at least she has got it started! She also informed me he has been their source of entertainment this week. He is such a character sometimes! Andrew and I have missed that while he has been gone. Cannon may not have been here in person, but we sure talked about him and mimicked all the cute phrases he says. Typical parents, I guess!

We both decided last night we are so ready for Cannon to be back with us!

A little inappropriate but too funny not to share!

Today as I was getting ready, Cannon was in the bathroom with me. He has been very interested in the female anatomy lately and so on more than one occasion he has grabbed my chest and says boobths! While it was pretty funny at first it is becoming not so funny now! Especially when he does it around others! Well, this morning I had these pad inserts that I use when I need a strapless bra. He saw them laying on the counter and he said "Uh Oh Mommy! Yous boobths broken!" Oh my gosh! I was cracking up!!! How he knew that is what they were for, I have no idea, I guess he watchs me more than I know!

The calm before the storm!

There isn't really anything new to report right now. Our life has been pretty clam and relaxing these past few weeks which is great because the month of July is CRAZY! We have something planned almost every weekend of July! I have decided that it is time I let go of my little boy for a few days. I am letting him go to his Nana's house for a few days this week. It sounds soo good but sooo hard at the same time! I know it is time to let him be away but what will I do with myself! I am use to always entertaining, monitoring, and caring for Cannon that I don't know what I will do with the time I have ALL to myself! I will have time when even Andrew won't be around! YIKES! and YEA! all at the same time!

I think I might finish painting my house. I have a few areas that are still in need and this would be the perfect time to do it! Shopping sounds good too! That is one thing I am unable to do with Cannon anymore. He does not appreciate me dragging him to stores. He literally JUMPS out of the cart and takes off down the aisle. Or if I am at the mall and try to enter another store he starts crying and saying NO MOMMY NO!!!! I want home NOW! I am not kidding! So therefore I have instated a mommy day! Me and my friend Torrie give each other one day a week to be child-free to do as we please! It is WON-DER-FUL!!! Praise the Lord for good friends and family!

So I guess what you all really want is a funny story about Cannon. The above story was probably not good enough, so let me try and chose a good one out of the many humorous things my child has done lately. Well okay maybe a couple! :)

I am not really sure where Cannon picked this up but lately when he gets mad and doesn't want to do something or doesn't want something he says "No Mommy! I never never never..." For example, he asked for chocolate milk, but then decided he wanted juice after I had already made his milk. He threw his cup down and said "No Mommy! I never never never want chocolate milk! EVER! The bad thing is Andrew and I bust out laughing every time he says it and try to do things to make him say it! HA HA! It is the cutest thing ever. I will try to get him saying it on tape so you can witness how cute it really is!

Another thing he has been doing is picking up Spanish from Dora the Explorer. The other day Andrew and I were sitting with our feet up on the ottoman and Cannon decided to climb through the tunnel. He ended up in between our legs. Now in Dora the episodes he has been watching over and over and over, talk about gates being opened and closed. So Cannon looks at Andrew and says Uh Oh Daddy! The gate is closed! Then he proceeded to say "abria!" which means open! We were shocked! He is actually learning from the show!

And finally, Sunday when we picked Cannon up from Sunday School his teacher told us that he saw this puzzle that had different tool shapes on it so he grabbed the hammer piece and the screw driver and got under the table and started working away at the table! How freakin cute is that!!! He is such a smart little boy! I am so blessed!!

My Daddy and Addi!

This past week I went to Oklahoma to celebrate my Daddy's 50th Birthday! It was so much fun getting everything planned and figured out so that we could pull off our suprise party. It worked because he was COMPLETELY suprised! He had no idea that friends old and new would be there. The biggest suprise was when Dad's best friends from Florida flew in just for his birthday! Tim and Becky made the flight in the morning of the party and left the following morning, just for Dad. He was so happy to see them. They have been such great friends to Dad. I made him a slide show from his birth until now and he really liked it as well. I am so blessed to have him as my Daddy! He is my "mr. fixit"! I tell you what, that man can fix just about anything and everything! He has spent many years fixing things of mine that break, but also mending my broken hearts. He is absolutely the best Daddy in the world! I can talk to him about anything and will always get a response whether I like it or not! So what I really want to say is THANKS DADDY! You have always been there for me and I know you always will!

I had the pleasure to meet my new niece this past week too! I was so excited to finally hold her. She is so tiny! It was hard to remember having a baby that small at one time! It also made my baby fever kick in to overdrive! She is absolutely perfect and BEAUTIFUL! I love her!

Swim baby Swim!

Summer is here! YEA! We are so glad that summer is here so that we can finally enjoy the pool! Cannon loves getting in the pool! There is a splash park, a big water slide, and the pool is shallow enough that he can walk around without a problem! We have been there almost everyday. Our skin tone is starting to show it! I am going to look like a bronze goddess before the summer is over! Praise the LORD! Maybe this winter I won't be so ghostly white! Here are a few pictures we took today! You all need to come join us sometime this summer if you can! It is a lot of fun!

Welcome to our neighborhood pool! Looks inviting huh!

Adilyn Leigh Grace

My niece Adilyn was born tonight! She was born at 8:51 p.m. and weighed 6 lbs 5 oz! I am so excited to have a little girl in the family finally! It has been fun buying girl stuff instead of boy stuff! I am so anxious to hold her! But it will make my baby fever even worse! I am so ready to have another baby. My heart and body yearn for it! It is really weird how that happens. I try to explain to Andrew how I feel but he is not in the same place. He doesn't feel the need to add another person to our family yet. I love him with all my heart, but it is so hard sometimes to like him when we are so far apart on this issue. He says he doesn't know when he wants another child. He will just wake up one day and decided it would be nice, but I don't know why I have to be the one to give up what I truly desire. I guess that is just part of life. Andrew said he is 85% there so hopefully it won't take too much longer to reach 100%!!! I might have to take matters into my own hands if he waits too long! ;)

And the Craziness Begins!

This past weekend was the start to my many trips to Oklahoma this summer! I will be making one or two trips up to Oklahoma each month from now until September! Wow, that is a lot of traveling! Especially with a 2 1/2 year old boy who wants to be running around instead of sitting trapped in a seat for 4 hours! I found out as long as I keep going and don't make any stops the whole way he does better.

This visit to Oklahoma was to celebrate Dana's wedding shower. She had a great turn out at her shower and received tons of great gifts. She was very pleased. I was scheduled to leave Oklahoma on Sunday but I ended up staying a couple more days because my step-sister thought she was going in to labor. Well she actually was in early labor but they still sent her home. BOOO! I was so mad, as was she. We were so ready for Adilyn to be here!! But by Tuesday morning my husband was growing impatient so I decided I better head home.

While I was at my mom's house we took the kiddos to the Tulsa Zoo. It was fun going back to the zoo I grew up going to. But it was sad because one of my favorite things about the zoo was the Polar Bear and it had died 2 days before we went. We were sad! :( The little boy in the picture with Cannon is Gage. This is Cannon's cousin, which is Stacey, my step-sis, the one who is having Adilyn, little boy.
