Madison Jane Mileur AKA "Mady Jane"

Here are the pictures of our baby girl! We are so excited to know for sure that a little girl will be joining our family. I am so glad my instinct was right and I didn't have to apologize to my son for thinking he was a girl! I have had the name Madison Jane picked out since I was pregnant with Cannon. I thought about changing the name but I just couldn't. I love the name Madison Jane. It has been the name I have pictured our little girl with from the beginning. I don't know why I picked Madison, but I just think it is a beautiful name. Jane however has special meaning. Jane is my grandmother's name as well as part of my first name. My Jane-Jane (which is what we call her) has been sick with cancer for a while now. We are so blessed to have her with us still but I know time is precious and we never know when God will decided to bring her home. I am so glad that she now knows she will have a great granddaughter named after her. She was thrilled when I told her I was having a Mady Jane! I hope my Jane-Jane knows how much she means to me and that Jane is not just a cute middle name, it is because of her that our precious daughter will carry such special name. I am honored to be named after her and I hope my daughter will one day understand the special name she holds.
Cannon was really excited to find out he is having a sister as well! He loves to listen to her "harp beep" aka heart beat on our heart monitor. Every time she kicks he says "Mooom! she kicked me!" Great! I guess that is already starting! :) He tells me that he can't wait to hold the baby and rock the baby. Then he proceeds to jiggle my belly in a rocking motion and says "sweet baby. I love you." He still says he wants to punch the baby, so we haven't quite mastered the whole idea of you only do sweet things to the baby. Hopefully he will grasp that concept before she is out of the safety of my womb! I know he will be a great big brother. I have already trained him to say "Hey boys, stay away from my sister!"

Tomorrow is the day!!!

Tomorrow we find out if we are welcoming a boy or a girl into our family! I am so excited!! I really can't wait to know. I want to know the first minute I am pregnant. I wish I could be one of those women who wait until the baby is born to find out, but that would be so hard! I like to take advantage of technology and use it to its full extent! So tomorrow when they peek between the legs I hope we get a definite answer! I hope the little one will cooperate so that we will know without a doubt what the baby's sex is.

I have started feeling the baby move some. It is usually at night when I am laying still that I will notice movement. I also noticed if I sit in a certain postion and my belly is squished too much they baby doesn't like it! I can't wait to just see that baby tomorrow too. It is neat to watch the baby moving around, kicking, sucking its thumb, etc. So I am so excited about tomorrow! Stay tuned for the big announcement!

A Possible Move in the Future

Well I have learned some very stressful news....Andrew may be transferred to Houston. Sad, but true. His company has been laying people off by the handful every month. It all started earlier this year when projects weren't coming in due to the economy. By the grace of God Andrew has made it through several rounds of layoffs. Now they are to the point where if he wants to keep his job his only option may be moving to the Houston office. Which means starting all over again for us. The good thing is we have an opportunity to get closer to family with this. Andrew decided to put out new job applications in Oklahoma and in Longview,TX (where his parents live). So I really hope that something comes from one of those places to avoid the move to Houston. I want to get closer to family, not further away!

In the past year we have bought our first home, joined a wonderful church, and made some great friends. We have lived in the area for about two years and it took us that long to get where we are now. I don't look forward to going through that process again. Now we have to worry about selling our house too! That does not sound like a fun process. I have a hard time keeping my house nice and tidy on a day to day basis. I don't even want to think about getting an unexpected call from the realtor saying hey I want to show your house in an hour! Yikes!

Another added stress is the fact that we are having a baby! I have no idea when the move would take place or where I will be in my pregnancy. Hopefully everything will work out and I won't have to worry about have a home birth or anything like that! :) I need my epidural! I think the thing I am most sad about is I won't be able to decorate the baby's nursery exactly the way I want. If our house is going to be on the market we need to keep the walls as neutral as possible. I have the cutest idea for a little girls room that I guess I won't get to do anytime soon. :(

I absolutely HATE not knowing what is going to happen. I like to plan and have details worked out. It is impossible to do when we have no idea where we will end up and when. I know that God is in control. He knows our needs and will provide for us. He loves us and doesn't want us to worry about these details He already has worked out. I just have to put my trust in Him and let Him lead us where HE wants us!

OH Baby!

Here is a new picture of our precious baby. This was taken at my 14 week appointment. Can I just say my doctor is awesome! She just randomly said "Hey do you want to run back and see if we can take a peek between the baby's legs?" I was like, "UMMM...YEAH!" Most of the time you only get two sonograms throughout your pregnancy unless you are high risk or have an awesome doctor. She said that at my next appointment we can take another look to get a better answer. We couldn't get a really clear look but she didn't see anything poking out down there! I sure hope it stays that way! I would love to have my big boy and little girl. How perfect would that be! I also don't think it would be too bad to have two little boys either. I just want to keep balance in the household you know! I can't wait for Dec. 11th to get here! Hopefully we will have a definite answer then!

Christmas Presents!

Hey Everyone! I have a friend of mine that just started making really cute signs. Check out her website. She is very reasonably priced and makes a bunch of really neat items. They would make great Christmas or birthday gifts! Who doesn't like things to decorate with! Enjoy!

In other news....

Things have been getting a lot better! I actually feel good most of the time. I wish I could say my appetite was back to normal but it isn't there yet. I can't stand the sight or smell of anything beef related! Although I can eat spaghetti with meat, but I think it is because it is covered in sauce. I recently purchased a heart doppler to listen to the baby whenever I want. I love having it! I listen about twice a day. At night I let Cannon listen and he loves it too! He will sing to the baby and then hug my belly and says "I love you baby." It melts my heart! Hopefully he will feel that way in about 6 months when his mommy is holding that baby! I am getting so excited about finding out the sex of the baby. I have this feeling that it is a girl. I don't know if that is because I really want it to be a girl or if it is my maternal instinct but that is what I am feeling. I have also done numerous tests with the wives tales and they all point towards girl too. They baby has a high heart rate. I conceived on a girl month according to the Chinese birth calender and my hair has looked horrible lately. They say little girls still their mother's looks. Hmmm....yep I'll just pretend that is what is wrong with my appearance lately! So we will see in hopefully 4 weeks. I will feel just as happy if they say it is a boy though! I love my first little boy and I will absolutely love a second! I will just have to start planning all the boy stuff because I already have everything planned out for a girl! :) Silly me!

Halloween

Sorry I haven't posted in a while! Oops! I have just had a lot going on. But let me catch everyone up on what has been going on in our little world...

Our Halloween plans ended up being quite different than we planned. My mom was suppose to be coming to Dallas to spend halloween with us, but instead we made an emergency trip to Oklahoma. Thursday night I got a call from my step-dad telling me they thought my mom was having a heart attack. Talk about scared! I didn't know what to do! I didn't know if I needed to get in the car right then and drive or what. I waited it out to hear her condition and they said she was stable. So I decided to wait until the next morning to leave. Well of course everything that could go wrong did that morning. Not with my mom, but just with me getting ready for the trip. So I didn't end up leaving Dallas until about 1:00. By the time I got to Tulsa my mom had been released from the hospital, Praise the Lord! They said it was a result of really high blood pressure and stress. They found no damage to her heart which was amazing! Sp she of course had to take it easy the next few days. But on halloween we headed over to Aunt Stacey's house to let Cannon and Gage go trick or treating together. Cannon was a pirate and Gage was a dinosaur. They both looked so cute. Cannon would go up and ring the doorbell. He would great the person who answered with "ARRRGGG! I'm a pirate!" He is such a little ham! I don't know where he gets it! Talk about personality!

Cannon has been talking non-stop it seems. He says some of the most random things too. I hate to admit it, but I let Cannon watch a little too much tv at times. But hey, I am pregnant and tired so sometimes that is the easiest way to distract him while I get some rest! I feel somewhat justified in this decision because I only let him watch educational shows. He doesn't get to watch just random cartoons. He watches Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, Dinosaur Train, Little Enstiens, etc. He is actually learning a lot from these. In the past few weeks I have heard him talk about hexagons, ovals, machines, he drew the number 6, and countless other things. I am shocked everytime he tells me something like that! Last night we were cutting up potatoes and he told me "Hey, Mommy those are ovals!" Wow! Smart kid! I can't wait to see when he starts school. He is going to be a fast learner I can already tell.

As far as baby news, as you can see by the ticker at the top I have reached the 12 week mark! Hooray!! Things have been good. I don't get nausea as often now. I still have a hard time eating somedays. Nothing sounds that great to me. I know this will pass soon though and I will be stuffing my face constantly! Next month we will find out what we are having! Can't wait!
